    In this section you will find information about which sporting facilities you can visit for free and what steps you need to take in order to be eligible for free access. Additionally you can also find information about UNYP Blazers soccer and basketball team.

      UNYP Blazers soccer and basketball team


      Who can join?

      Anybody with a passion for the sport and willingness to compete against other teams. The skill level is not important as long as you are willing to put in an effort.


      How to join:

      There are tryout sessions held at the beginning of each semester. During the tryout session you will meet with the coach and discuss your expectations and how the UNYP Blazers team works. You don't need to worry about the skill level - as we said above, important is the passion and team spirit.

      Detailed information about time, date and place of trials is sent by email to all students at the beginning of each semester. Don't stress, however, if you would like to join in the middle of the year. You can always contact the team coach Matěj Kopecký at: matejkope@gmail.com and together you can discuss the options.


      WHERE and WHEN are practice sessions held at:

      UNYP  ARENA

      Prague 9

      Wednesdays :  10:30 - 11:30 h

      Basketball :  starting from October 23

      Soccer :  outside on a back soccer field from October 9, in the hall from October 23 ( in appropriate indoor shoes only )

        Information for UNYP Blazers team members


        Equipment:

        At the beginning of the academic year, you can pick up your equipment (jersey, shorts, socks, gloves, etc.) in Student Affairs office where you will also sign the hand-over protocol. You are responsible for keeping your equipment kit clean and washed at all times. 

        At the end of the academic year you are required to return clean and washed equipment and again sign the hand-over protocol. Towards the end of the academic year, you will receive an email from us with a deadline until which you are required to return your equipment. If you fail to do so, you are subject to a fine in the amount of 3.000 CZK.



        Athletic contract and Sports waiver:

        When picking up your equipment, you will be required to sign your copy of Athletic contract and Sports waiver. please read them carefully before signing.



        Health insurance:

        In order to join the team you are required to hold a valid insurance that will cover you in the Czech Republic. When picking up your equipment, you will have to bring the insurance card or another form of insurance with you so we can make a copy.
