Dear students,

This is a reminder to all of you whose long-stay visas/residence permits are about to expire during the upcoming months. Please check the date of expiry of your visa/residence card and do not forget to apply for the extension in advance, especially if you plan to leave the CR for your summer break. If it is not your case, please ignore this message.

Please note that:

·         If you are staying currently in CR, but plan to depart for summer, you should apply for your visa/residence permit extension before you leave. At the same time, do not forget to arrange a bridge visa so that you can return to CR after your current visa/permit expiry.

·         If you are going to depart for summer and you have an application for your visa/RP extension in process/pending, please do not forget to arrange a bridge visa.

·         If you are currently staying out of CR, you will have to return to CR before the date of your visa/residence permit/bridge visa expiry and apply for extension, otherwise you will have to apply for a new long-stay visa at the Czech Embassy in your country.

·         It is not possible to prolong your visa/residence permit at the Czech Embassy and it is not possible to apply for extension by mail/email from outside of the CR.

For a guide with all the necessary information on how to extend your visa/residence permit and how to make an online appointment at the appropriate OAMP office, please reach out to us at internationaloffice@unyp.cz

It would be great if you could keep us posted on your intentions and provide us with a picture of your current visa/permit so that we are able to advise you accordingly.

Those of you who have already been in touch with us, please discard the reminder.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to get back to us.

Best regards,

International Office
